Granite is a natural stone product and has a certain degree of porosity. Therefore, after installation, it must be cleaned and sealed.  Your granite countertops will be sealed prior to installation, but routine maintenance is required to keep you granite countertops looking like new.

A main concern of customers is how to clean their new granite countertops and how often do they have to be resealed.  Your granite countertops should be resealed every six months.   You can clean your countertops with only soap and water, but Granite Countertops Unlimited and Stone Care International Products have teamed up to make the taking care of your countertops very easy.  You can buy individual cleaners and sealers, or get everything you need in our convenient “Care Kits”.
